LSU's new live mascot Mike VII apparently wants to play so badly that his handlers at the school are asking the public to keep pets and stuffed animals away from his on-campus glass enclosure.
There are signs posted and a Facebook notice making the request. This Mike the Tiger is said to be very playful and there's concern that it could cost him a broken tooth or worse when he throws himself against the glass.
Dental problems are said to be the number-one cause of death for both wild and captive tigers.
