There are more questions than answers at this point as an investigation involving Kenner's fire chief continues.
John Hellmers has been placed on administrative leave, but so far there's been nothing released by city officials on the reason for the action, terming it a "personnel matter."
A 16-year veteran of the department, Ryan Bergeron, is now serving as interim chief pending the outcome of the investigation into Hellmers, who has headed up the fire department since 2007.
