JP Sheriff: Man Shot Not Taking Pictures Of Shooter's Home

Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto is discounting a Terrytown homeowner's claims that a man he shot over the weekend had been taking photos of his home.

Lopinto told reporters yesterday that the victim had just been walking around the neighborhood, prompting 47-year-old Shawn Henderson to grab his gun, get in his truck and later confront the victim near Legion Drive and Guardian Avenue.

He says the encounter turned violent, the victim attempting to hit Henderson with a walking stick, and Henderson firing two shots at the man, one hitting him in the leg.

Henderson was arrested for aggravated battery.
