The New Orleans Saints cut John Kuhn on Thursday, the second time in less than three weeks they released the veteran fullback.

New Orleans let Kuhn go because it needed the roster space after signing defensive lineman Kendall Langford, per the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Kuhn was released by the Saints on Sept. 3 and re-signed three days later.

He appeared in both games for winless New Orleans (0-2), rushing once for two yards.

The 35-year-old Kuhn, in his 12th NFL season, joined the Saints on a one-year deal during the 2016 training camp after spending nine seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

The 6-foot, 255-pounder appeared in all 16 games with New Orleans last season, rushing for 37 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries. He also had 16 receptions for 70 yards and a score.
