Slidell Police have announced that one of their own was killed Wednesday in an off-duty motorcycle accident.
"Lieutenant Ray Dupuy was a dedicated public servant who served and protected the citizens of Slidell for over two decades," said Slidell Police Chief Randy Fandal. "Please keep Lieutenant Dupuy's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. This is going to be a very difficult time for our Slidell Police family."
More details about the accident will be released later today by State Police, which is leading the investigation.
