Ex-Zulu Queen Ordered To Prison For Medicare Fraud

A New Orleans business woman and former Zulu Queen will be serving more than six years in the slammer.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 52-year-old Lisa Crinel was sentenced yesterday after pleading guilty earlier to defrauding Medicare through a home health services company she operated.  She'll also have to pay back $16 million to the agency.

Twenty people were charged in a 26-count indictment handed up in 2015 alleging they scammed Medicare out of $32 million.
