Drew Brees threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns as the Saints pounded the Panthers 34-13 at Bank of America Stadium.
Michael Thomas had seven catches for 87 yards and a score, while Ted Ginn Jr. and Brandon Coleman also had TD grabs for New Orleans. The Saints are now 1-and-2.
Cam Newton was 17-of-26 for 167 yards and three interceptions for the Panthers, who fell to 2-and-1. Newton had a rushing touchdown, while Christian McCaffrey racked up nine catches for 101 yards in the setback.
