St. Tammany Parish authorities are identifying a man shot to death early Sunday as the same man accused in the beating of an elderly man during a July road-rage incident.
The coroner says 20-year-old Brett McCraney of Pearl River died of a gunshot wound to the chest. He was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex during an argument with another man.
Twenty-year-old Frank Beckendorf (pictured) is charged with second-degree murder.
