Work is resuming in New Orleans on the cleaning of hundreds of clogged catch basins around the city.
RAMJ Construction was fired last week by the Landrieu administration. Yesterday, the second lowest bidder on the project, Compliance Envirosystems, brought in three new vacuum trucks to clean the basins under the city's emergency contract.
A Landrieu spokesman says the contract went to CES because it was the lowest bidder who had the most experience to do the job.
