The New Orleans Saints will be taking a knee before Sunday's game in London against the Miami Dolphins, but quarterback Drew Brees says that will happen before the national anthem is played.
Brees tweeted that when the anthem is played, the team will stand.
Some fans and local businesses were not happy when a number of Saints players chose to sit during the national anthem last Sunday in Carolina. One fan posted a Facebook video burning her gear and at least two restaurants said they would no longer show Saints or NFL games while the protests continued.
The protest also drew rebuke from state lawmakers who want to review state tax breaks and incentives to the team and Lt. Gov. Billy Nunguesser, who said he would boycott the London game.
