NOPD Supt. Believes Officers Are Ready For "Active Shooter"

New Orleans Police Superintendent Michael Harrison says he believes his officers are equipped and trained to handle a mass casualty event.

His comments came yesterday following the massacre at a country music concert in Las Vegas that killed at least 59 people and wounded more than 400 others.

Harrison says there's a "heightened sense of awareness" among his officers who are working with various officials to maintain security at the city's upcoming large events.
