A week after an upset loss to Troy in Death Valley, the LSU Tigers responded by knocking off 20th-ranked Florida, 17-16, in Gainesville.
Danny Etling threw for 125 yards and a touchdown, and the Tigers piled up 216 rushing yards and a touchdown in the win. LSU improved to 4-and-2 overall and 1-and-1 in the SEC.
Lamical Perine rushed for a pair of third quarter touchdowns, but Florida kicker Eddy Pineiro missed what would have been the game-tying extra point. It was the first extra-point miss for Pineiro over 46 attempts in his career.
The Gators fell to 3-and-2 overall and 3-and-1 in the SEC.
