The Coast Guard is no longer actively searching for a worker who went missing in Lake Pontchartrain near Kenner after an explosion and fire Sunday night on a natural gas and oil platform.
The agency announced early last night it had suspended its search for 44-year-old Timothy Morrison of Katy, Texas.
Three of seven other people injured in the blast that occurred during maintenance operations remain hospitalized, two of them in the Baton Rouge General Hospital burn unit. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
