The daughter of a now-former New Orleans mayoral candidate is said to be hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a drunk driver.
The campaign of Michael Bagneris released a statement yesterday stating that his daughter Mia, a Tulane University assistant professor, was struck outside her home Saturday night after attending her father's election night party.
Bagneris failed to make the two-person runoff election by placing third with 19 percent of the vote.
