State police are identifying a man shot by a trooper Monday night as 34-year-old Allen Cazabon III of Harvey. He's hospitalized in stable condition after facing a laundry list of charges.
Investigators say Cazabon was shot during a traffic stop near Veterans and Roosevelt boulevards, but no information has been released as to why the trooper opened fire or why the vehicle was stopped.
The FBI is assisting in the investigation.
