Mike Conley poured in 27 points on opening night as the Grizzlies dumped the Pelicans 103-91 in Memphis. Rookie Dillon Brooks added 19 points and four steals off the bench for Memphis.
The Grizzlies trailed by seven after the first quarter, but outscored New Orleans 76-57 the rest of the way.
Anthony Davis led the Pelicans with 33 points and 18 rebounds. DeMarcus Cousins added 28 points, 10 boards and seven blocks for New Orleans.
The rest of the team combined to score just 30 points in the loss.
