There's a new name surfacing as a possible contender to become the next U.S. Attorney for Louisiana's Eastern District.
The New Orleans Advocate reports that U.S. Senator John Kennedy is confirming that Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro is in the mix for his recommendation to fill the post.
However, the life-long Democrat would likely have to switch parties to be considered for the job by President Trump.
