Pelicans Hold Off Lakers, 119-112

Golden State Warriors v New Orleans Pelicans

Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins did just enough to get the Pelicans by the Lakers 119-112 at the STAPLES Center.

Davis had 27 points and 17 rebounds, while Cousins added 22 with 11 boards and eight assists.  They combined for five blocks. E'Twaun Moore made 8-of-9 shots to score 19 in New Orleans' first win of the season.  The Pels are 1-and-2.

Los Angeles trailed by as many as 22 but battled back to briefly take the lead in the fourth quarter. Jordan Clarkson led the comeback with 24 points off the bench.  Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 20 in his season debut after being suspended for the first two games.  Lonzo Ball tallied eight, 13 assists ande eight rebounds for the 1-and-2 Lakers.
