C.J. McCollum came to life in the fourth quarter to lead the Trail Blazers to a 103-93 win over the Pelicans at the Moda Center. McCollum went off for 16 of his 23 points during the final 12 minutes.
He was able to pick up Damian Lillard on an off-night, which saw the point guard shoot 3-of-16 and miss 7-of-8 threes with six turnovers. Portland is 3-and-1.
DeMarcus Cousins did his best to carry the Pelicans as they had to deal with not having Anthony Davis for most of the game. Davis left with a knee injury, although his MRI was negative.
Cousins finished with 39 points and 13 rebounds.
