The New Orleans Advocate is reporting that one of two women vying to become the next mayor of New Orleans misused her city-issued credit card.
The newspaper reports that LaToya Cantrell has used the card since taking office as a councilwoman in 2012 to make nearly $9,000 in personal or political purchases. She only recently reimbursed the city for about half that amount.
Cantrell faces Desiree Charbonnet in a runoff election on November 18th.
