Pay Raises Approved For New Orleans Cops

If the money can be found, pay raises are on the way for members of the New Orleans Police Department.

The City Council gave a thumbs-up yesterday to a plan to hike the pay of officers by ten percent.

But, there's a catch. The move will cost the city more than $9 million a year, money that won't be available until a deal to redevelop the World Trade Center is approved by the WTC board.
