Pelicans Enjoy Winning Weekend

It was a winning weekend for the New Orleans Pelicans to get back to .500.

The tandem of Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins combined for 50 points and 35 rebounds as the Pelicans nipped the Mavericks 99-94 in Dallas Friday night.  Davis scored 30 with 13 boards and Cousins added 20 points and 22 rebounds in the winning effort.

E'Twaun Moore with 11 points and Tony Allen with 10 were the only other Pelicans in double-figures. 

On Saturday, Davis had 27 points and 16 rebounds and Cousins contributed 25 points and 11 boards as the Pelicans beat the Bulls 96-90 in overtime in Chicago. Cousins had 18 points and seven rebounds after halftime.

Jameer Nelson hit a trey with 49 seconds left in overtime to put New Orleans up by eight points.

The Pelicans are back in action Tuesday night in Indiana.
