New Orleans will be the site later today for what Governor John Bel Edwards says will be "one of the most significant economic development announcements" in state history.
Reports from FOX 8/WVUE-TV and The Advocate say a tech company will be establishing a headquarters in New Orleans, bringing thousands of tech jobs to the area. Baton Rouge Business Report identifies the company as DXC Technology, currently based in Virginia.
A news release sent by Edwards' office says the announcement will take place at 2 p.m. at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
