New Orleans Saints running back Daniel Lasco reportedly suffered a bulging disc in his spine during Sunday's 47-10 win over the Buffalo Bills that required him to be taken off the field by ambulance in the second quarter.
Lasco's injury is thought not to be career ending, according NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Monday.
Lasco was injured while he made a head-first tackle on Buffalo's Brandon Tate on a kickoff return. He laid face-down on the turf for several minutes before trainers helped him onto a stretcher.
Lasco was able to move his left leg while lying on the ground and raised his right hand slightly while on the stretcher.
Coach Sean Payton and several Saints players came on the field to check on Lasco before he was loaded into the ambulance and taken to a Buffalo-area hospital.
NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reported later Sunday that Lasco was able to fly home with the team.
