A new system is in place for New Orleans' residents to report non-violent crimes.
The NOPD announced yesterday that the move will give officers more time for the prevention of and response to public safety emergencies.
Police Superintendent Michael Harrison says those who have property stolen from them can now report the thefts online by going to the website nola.gov/nopdonline.
