With Saturday's mayoral runoff election breathing down the necks of voters in New Orleans, New polling numbers show candidate LaToya Cantrell with a significant lead.
Tulane University released the result of a recent voter survey yesterday that gives Cantrell a 20-point lead over Desiree Charbonnet. A UNO poll released Tuesday had Cantrell with an eleven-point lead.
Meantime, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise has endorsed Charbonnet's bid to succeed term-limited Mitch Landrieu as mayor. Landrieu says he will not make an endorsement in the runoff.
