Some residents and businesses in the French Quarter suffered a power outage Friday afternoon.
Entergy’s website says: “A serviceman is working to determine the cause of your outage. Power will be restored as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
The map only shows eight customers in the French Quarter without power.
However, a spokeswoman confirmed that there is an outage affecting a large portion of the French Quarter. Crews are at a substation adjacent to the Quarter working to identify the cause.
She said they are working to restore power as soon as possible.
