Judicial Nominee Withdraws After Grilling By Kennedy

Republican U.S. Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana is seeing the results of his inquisition of a federal judicial candidate.

The Washington Post reports the White House confirmed yesterday that Matthew Peterson had withdrawn as a nominee for a seat on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Peterson was grilled by Kennedy on basic questions of legal procedure last week and Peterson wasn't able to answer any of them.
