The Trump administration is giving thought to a rollback in offshore drilling regulations and safety measures imposed after the Deepwater Horizon disaster.

The Wall Street Journal reports the requested change is coming from the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement.  The agency says the rollback could slash costs by $900 million over the next decade.

The proposal was sent to the White House earlier this month.
