It's been another night of bone-chilling, crank-up-the-heat weather in the Bayou State.
Freezing cold continues to envelop much of Louisiana with many folks taking precautions to avoid low-temperature-related injuries and damage to their property and businesses.
Some communities where residents are opening faucets to keep their pipes from freezing and bursting are putting a strain on water companies that are having trouble keeping up, leading to low water pressure issues.
At the same time, Entergy says the increased demand for power from cranked up furnaces and other heating devices may lead to outages that can take longer than usual to repair.
