A Mandeville Kmart is among over 100 stores that will be closing in the coming months, parent company Sears Holdings announced Thursday.
The store, located at 3555 Highway 190, is scheduled to shut its doors in early April. In all, 64 Kmart stores and 39 Sears stores nationwide will be closing. Liquidation sales will begin as early as January 12.
"Eligible associates impacted by these store closures will receive severance and will have the opportunity to apply for open positions at area Kmart or Sears stores," said the company in a statement.
The Kmart location in Elmwood and the Sears at the Oakwood Mall were part of another round of store closures in early 2017.
