Anthony Davis racked up 30 points and 10 rebounds before exiting with a sprained right ankle as the Pelicans held off the Pistons 112-109 at the Smoothie King Center.
Davis left in the third quarter and did not return. DeMarcus Cousins chipped in with 20 points and 10 boards, while E'Twaun Moore netted 23 for the Pelicans, who have won two of three. Rajon Rondo notched 12 points and 15 assists in the win.
Tobias Harris posted 25 points and Avery Bradley added 24 for Detroit, which has dropped four of six. Andre Drummond donated 16 points and 14 boards in the setback.
