The driver of a party bus that crashed into several vehicles leaving three people dead on I-10 in LaPlace is awaiting sentencing after being convicted yesterday of negligent homicide charges.
A St. John the Baptist Parish jury reached a verdict in the trial of Denis Rodriguez yesterday afternoon.
Authorities say he was driving to Baton Rouge in August 2016 when the bus hit a fire truck parked at an earlier accident scene. Dozens of other people suffered injuries in the crash.
