Latino: We'll Get Above Freezing By Mid-Day

(FOX 8/WVUE) Temperatures will be in the teens north of the Lake this morning, while the south shore dips into the low to mid 20s. Unprotected pipes may burst, especially in vulnerable buildings and homes. Full winter gear is necessary for anyone going outdoors. Temperatures will climb above the freezing mark by 11 AM on Thursday.

Another hard freeze is expected north of the Lake for Friday morning, but the south shore will only see a light freeze. Those on the immediate south shore do not need to run water to protect pipes tonight.

After Friday morning, the real thaw out begins. Over the weekend, highs could near the 70 degree mark by Sunday. Rain and storms look likely late Sunday night and before noon on Monday, but temperatures will remain more typical of mid-January.
