Pelicans Split Final Games Of Road Trip

Kent Bazemore hit the go-ahead jumper with 2.1 seconds left as the Hawks rallied to beat the Pelicans 94-93 at Philips Arena Wednesday.

Bazemore finished with 20 points and John Collins added 18 off the bench for Atlanta, which rallied from 19 down. 

Jrue Holiday hoisted up 22 points to lead the New Orleans effort.  DeMarcus Cousins tallied 19 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists in the setback.  Anthony Davis had just eight points in 38 minutes on 2-of-8 shooting. 

The loss ended a three-game winning streak for the Pelicans, who were able to get past the Celtics Tuesday night in overtime, 116-113.

Davis exploded for 45 points and 16 rebounds after a 48-point performance against the Knicks on MLK Day.

Holiday added 23 and seven assists in the victory.  Boston outscored the Pelicans by 10 in the second half to force the extra five minutes.  Kyrie Irving went for 27 points and Jaylen Brown added 16 in the loss.

The Celtics had a seven-game winning streak come to an end. 

The Pelicans are now 23-21 on the season. They're back in the Smoothie King Center Saturday night against the Grizzlies.
