New Orleans Mayor-Elect Announces Transition Plan

It's more than three months before LaToya Cantrell begins running New Orleans city government, but the mayor-elect is out with her transition plan.

Cantrell announced Monday that she's forming six committees that will have a total of 19 subcommittees to focus on six key topic areas.

She says the committees will began their work next week, and will report their findings and recommendations on the topics of infrastructure, public safety, economic development, health families, neighborhood stabilization and government operations by mid-April.
