Pelicans Hold Off Hornets, 101-96

The Pelicans jumped out to an 11-point lead after 12 minutes and they held off the Hornets for a 101-96 win at the Spectrum Center.

DeMarcus Cousins filled the stat sheet with 16 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and five blocks. Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday scored 19 points apiece for New Orleans, which has won three in-a-row and six of its last seven overall.

Dwight Howard racked up 22 points and 16 boards to pace the Hornets, who have lost two-of-three. Kemba Walker netted 20 points and dished out seven assists in the setback.
