Governor John Bel Edwards is one step closer to getting the $600 million he wants for some major road projects in Louisiana.
The state legislature's Joint Transportation Committee gave a thumbs-up Wednesday for officials to seek federal bonds to pay for the work.
The projects include the widening of I-10 in Baton Rouge from the Mississippi River bridge to the I-10/12 split and a new interchange near the New Orleans airport.
