A deputy-involved shooting is under investigation in Jefferson Parish.
Authorities say the deputy opened fire on a man in Marrero Thursday afternoon as he began accelerating towards him.
The suspect, 31-year-old Quintin Sanders who is charged with attempted murder, appeared to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries to the shoulder.
Moments earlier, deputies had tried to stop the suspect's vehicle because it was impeding traffic, the driver hitting two sheriff's units while attempting to flee the scene.
