FOX 8 Weather: Rain Expected Through End Of Carnival

(WVUE/FOX 8) A stormy pattern will persist for the next week. This means off and on chances for rain through the rest of the Carnival season.

Rain is likely at times today as a cold front moves through the area. Temperatures will fall into the 50s by late afternoon. A few showers could linger tonight, but generally speaking, we will be drying out.

The nicest day of the week will be Thursday with cooler weather and maybe even some sun. Dry skies are expected for Thursday night parades. By Friday, clouds will be on the increase with a few showers returning for the evening hours.

Rain looks likely Saturday and Sunday with storms possible at times. Keep an eye out for changes to parade schedules and plan to bring the rain gear if you're heading out this weekend.

For Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras the forecast is highly uncertain at this time but at least a slight chance for rain can be expected both days.
