(WVUE/FOX 8) The dry weather will last through most of today as winds start to turn and warm us up. You'll notice more cloud cover and humidity, but aside from a few stray showers, tonight's parades should roll without issue.
Unfortunately, our wet pattern returns for the weekend with multiple rounds of rain expected. Temperatures will be warmer than average with highs in the low 70s. Multiple disturbances will cross the Gulf Coast Saturday and Sunday bringing mostly rain with some isolated storms possible. While there will be some dry periods, we recommend bringing the rain gear if you're heading out to parades.
A cold front will sluggishly move through the area late Sunday, but it may stall near the coast keeping at least a slight rain chance in the forecast for Lundi Gras. The boundary will creep back northward on Mardi Gras Day bringing a better chance for showers once again.
