Come next year, it'll be time to elect a new governor in Louisiana, or re-elect Governor Edwards, a Democrat.
At the weekly meeting yesterday of the Press Club of Baton Rouge, Republican Louisiana Congressman Ralph Abraham threw plenty of criticism Edwards' way. He says he's tired of Edwards' broken promises, indicating a possible challenge in the making.
As for Louisiana's budget mess, Abraham says it needs to be fixed with cuts, not taxes.
