There are plans in place now for what the city of New Orleans will do at the four sites where Confederate-era monuments stood until their removal last year.
Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced Wednesday nothing is planned for the Liberty Place site, but that an American flag will be erected at the site where a statue of Jefferson Davis once stood.
He says plans call for removal of the pedestal and beautification where a statue of P.G.T. Beauregard had been erected.
Landrieu says public input will be sought on the future of Lee Circle, the former decades-long home to a statue of Robert E. Lee.
