State Lawmakers Head Back To Work For Regular Session

A week after wrapping up a failed special session on the budget, Louisiana lawmakers are headed back to work today for the regular legislative session.

They will be taking up non-budget items during their get-together, with Governor John Bel Edwards to address a joint session of the House and Senate after they convene at noon.

The predicted $700 million shortfall in revenue for the next budget year could be taken up in yet another special session later this spring.
