The unemployment rate in Louisiana is improving.
The state's Workforce Commission says the seasonally-adjusted preliminary report for February places the jobless rate at 4.5%. That's down a tenth of a percent from January and a drop of one-point-two-percent compared to a year earlier.
Seasonally-adjusted non-farm employment increased by 2,800 jobs last month versus January figures.
