Smokers in Louisiana could be getting a new call to knock it off.
The Advocate reports that Democratic Representative Dustin Miller of Opelousas will renew his call before the House Health and Welfare Committee today to ban smoking in bars, casinos and sports arenas.
His main concern is about the impact of second-hand smoke.
A law placed on the books more than ten years ago currently prohibits smoking in restaurants and most public places in the state.
