Second Lawsuit Filed Over New Entergy Plant

New Orleans Makes Small Steps Towards Recovery

A second lawsuit is now making its way through the courts challenging New Orleans City Council approval of a new power plant for Entergy.

It's to be located on the city's east side, but plaintiffs in the legal action claim the road to approval violated the Louisiana Constitution and the state's open meetings law.

Those violations allegedly occurred during a Utilities Committee meeting in February and a March meeting of the full council.
