Louisiana will be receiving the largest portion of offshore-revenue sharing funds to be distributed among four Gulf Coast states during the next fiscal year, the Interior Department announced Thursday.

$188 million is being distributed under Phase 2 of the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act and comes from oil and gas leasing revenues collected by the federal government.

Louisiana's share is more than $80 million and will be used on projects that include conserving the state's coast.
