A Confederate statue in New Orleans has been targeted by vandals again.
This time the structure commemorating Charles Didier Dreux, the first Confederate field officer killed in the Civil War and a New Orleans native, was discovered Tuesday with a white cloth over the head and red X's painted in the area of the eyes.
Expletives were written in red on the base of the statue.
The city removed four major monuments to the Confederacy earlier, with some believing all of them should be removed, and others saying removing them doesn't change history.
