New Orleans City Council members are pledging to investigate allegations that an unknown number of professional actors were hired to attend a hearing earlier this year concerning Entergy's new eastside power plant.
Those on the panel approved the project, apparently unaware at the time that some of those wearing shirts professing their support of the plant were paid to attend the hearing
Entergy is conducting its own investigation of the incident, promising swift action if anyone involved with the company was involved.
